Wordpress theme: Orange Cut

Orange Cut is a Wordpress theme with stripes and blood oranges in the background. The photograph is from Living in Monrovia and CC-By-SA. But it's easy to exchange the image. As usual the template uses JQuery, is highly configureable (ads, how many posts to extend etc.). widget-ready and works with 2.0 and 2.1. DEMO | Download

Features

  • Uses JQuery to make articles and sidebar collapsible (of course sidebar widgets can be forced to stay extended and cookies are used to remember the state).
  • Optimised to keep your website short.
  • More configuration options than other themes (read the source and learn!).
  • Support for Automattic's widgets (but not required).
  • Support for the Simple Tagging Plugin (but not required)
  • Translatable (gettext has been used everywhere).
  • Works for both Wordpress 2.0.x and 2.1.x
  • Valid XHTML

Usage

If you use Widgets then you have to use a different weblinks-widget which is included in the theme. Just use the "Links (TomK32 theme)" instead of the "Links" widget. Each blogroll-category can have it's own box in the sidebar, if collapsed this is still small, but you can pack all in one box. "Search" also has its own widget. You can add things to the boxes in the header. The theme allows you to select which pages you want to show in the horizontal navigation bar.
